The award is presented to the individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of project management as a vehicle for effective change.

Candidates for this award are by nomination only. It is the equivalent of the APM's ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award and is awarded at the discretion of the judging panel of the APM.
