In 2005/2006 INDECO conducted a Gap Analysis of BG Group's Project Management activities and overall project system, and compared these against industry best practice. This study resulted in a series of recommendations, many of which have underpinned BG's efforts to further improve on its project management performance.

INDECO has worked with BG to, among other things:

• Develop a project management competency framework
• Produce web-enabled project management guidelines and procedures
• Design a three-tier project management competency support programme
• Deliver training in "Managing Projects the BG Way" across BG's international operations
• Assist in the establishment of a "Projects Academy" based at the Said Business School, at the Unoversity of Oxford
